Australian privacy practice
Privacy policy
This policy explains how AvenQuant handles personal information across account enquiries, onboarding, platform use, support and legal compliance.
1. Scope and accountability
AvenQuant is responsible for information it controls and expects service providers to protect information used on its behalf. The applicable legal entity is identified in your account documents.
2. Information you provide
We collect contact, identity, residency, occupation, financial and support information you submit. Do not provide information about another person unless authorised.
3. Information generated through use
Systems record device, browser, IP, login, account-setting, transaction and support activity. These records help operate the service and investigate issues.
4. Verification information
Identity documents, database results and source-of-funds evidence may be processed for onboarding and AML/CTF purposes. Sensitive material should use the designated secure channel.
5. Collection from third parties
Information may come from verification providers, financial institutions, fraud prevention services, public registers and authorised representatives. We take reasonable steps to keep relevant records accurate.
6. Why we use information
Purposes include providing services, authenticating access, processing payments, supporting customers, meeting legal obligations, preventing fraud and improving usability. We do not use identity evidence as unrelated advertising content.
7. Legal and operational bases
Processing may be necessary for a contract, legal duty, consent or legitimate operational purpose. The basis depends on the information and activity.
8. Communications
Service messages concern an account or request. Marketing preferences can be changed using the message instructions or by contacting support, while essential security notices may still be sent.
9. Disclosure
Information may be disclosed to technology, verification, payment, professional and regulatory recipients that need it for a stated purpose. We do not sell identity documents.
10. Overseas handling
Some providers may process information outside Australia. Contractual, security and due-diligence measures are used where appropriate, although foreign laws may differ.
11. Security
Access controls, encryption, monitoring and staff procedures protect information against misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No internet-connected system can guarantee absolute security.
12. Retention
Records are kept only as long as required for service, legal, dispute and security purposes. They are deleted or de-identified when no longer needed and lawful to remove.
13. Access and correction
You may request access to personal information and correction of inaccuracies. Identity verification and lawful exceptions can apply before material is released.
14. Cookies and analytics
Essential browser storage supports session and security functions. Optional analytics is inactive unless a valid site measurement identifier is later configured and appropriate notice is provided.
15. Privacy questions and complaints
Contact [email protected] with “Privacy” in the subject. If a privacy complaint is not resolved, you may be able to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
